With the WestJet pilot strike still looming ahead of the May long weekend, 71% of Canadian travellers feel as though union action is premature as travel plans for thousands are jeopardized. According to askpolly, young travellers (under 25) have noticed that the discount airline, Flair, is "taking advantage of the situation by adding extra cheap flights."
Of the 71,911 conversations about the strike over the last week, ~60% are in Alberta and BC with the east coast populations significantly under-represented in the discussion.
